Prevention Starts Now - English

Spirit of Sebastian continues to lead important projects focused on drug and alcohol prevention in the Lowcountry, and this is one of the most meaningful initiatives.

Attending prevention talks does not mean our children are using drugs. Instead, these conversations equip parents and caregivers with the tools and knowledge to communicate effectively, recognize warning signs, address social pressure, and prevent problems before they reach home.

Sadly, many families seek help only when the situation becomes critical.

Prevention is always better than rehabilitation.

This event, prepared over several months and largely funded by the Bluffton Rotary Club, offers our community two sessions—one in English and one in Spanish—designed especially for parents and caregivers. Our bilingual guest speaker is highly experienced and represents The Courage to Speak Foundation from Connecticut.
